Custom Movie Set Builders in Tampa Florida
Trying to find the perfect set for a movie or video can sometimes be overwhelming and it is not always possible to get what you need.

For big move budgets, the chore is simple, hire a company like Mr Dog Poop Studios to build a whole city for the set. But for the average Joe, that is not practical, so it's either green screen or severely sacrifice the quality and appearance.

But that does not have to be the case. Even small productions can have great sets with printed back drops and the right props sets can remain budget friendly.

Mr Dog Poop Studios has made it a practice to build on a low budget. After all, we live on YouTube videos and not Amazon or Netflix size production budgets.

A wall is as simple as a few 2x4's and a couple pieces of Sheetrock. Anyone can build a 16' wall for under $200. And that blank wall opens unlimited possibility.

As we start adding character weather it is a run down crack house or a CIA Black Site, they all have walls. Making that wall look the part is not rocket science, it is just typical construction, but without having to meet building code requirements.

So you don't need electrical permits and wire and supplies to put in a wall outlet. In fact many are just printed photos of wall outlets, switches etc glued onto the wall.

For a better look an actual socket and cover can be glued to the wall, making it 100% realistic. You can even plug cords into the outlets for a more complete look.

Of course complete sets are a bit more involved, but adding a corner or wall treatments can transform an open warehouse into a movie set for not thousands of dollars but for a few hundred dollars.

Mr Dog Poop studios has the team to take a simple studio and make it into something special without any crazy expense.
Mr Dog Poop's Signature office was built inside an existing warehouse by capitalizing on what we already had in place.

We wanted an industrial, 70's ish gas station type feel to make Mr Dog Poop look vintage and out of touch with modern technology.

The floor was already gray epoxy, so we painted the existing block wall an industrial gray, left the existing circuit breaker panel and conduit in place.

The desk is a 50's vintage metal tanker desk that is iconic and well known in old movies and TV. They are so popular that they are usually about $1500 in good condition and then another $500+ for shipping.

We were able to find 2 of them locally and paid just $50 for both and a 3 hour road trip to pick them up. Then an hour of sanding and 2 cans of gray Rustolem paint and we had a brand new 1950 desk.

We did have to pay prop prices for the vintage desk chair, again they are popular collectibles now and nobody is giving them away, so that cost us $200.

Add in a vintage time clock from eBay for $50, an old 1940's rotary phone for $35 and a 1940's tube radio for $75 and we had a complete 1970's office set.

Total cost under $600 even with the enlarged photo of Mr Dog Poop's Massey Model 12 garden tractor on the wall.

The old radio was hollowed out and a modern phone and microphones were inserted to hide them from the camera.

Top it off with a gray A/V cart for $80 on amazon, a vintage 13" 70's TV with the old rabbit ear antenna for another $100 on eBay, a vintage mechanical adding machine for $75 plus tax and shipping and you have a master piece of a vintage office.

The point is we could have easily spend $10,000 or $20,000 to get the look we wanted but we did it for under $1,000 through careful planning and creative sourcing of material and props.
