More and More Props!
Every day we have ideas for videos and at times, it takes months to acquire all the props we need to make a 2 minute video. By that time, we have lost interest and moved on to new videos.
For example, w had an idea to make Fat Chris a fairy god mother, we got wings, a tiara and a pink tutu. He looked so cute!
But the fairy god mother was going to grant wishes to Mr Dog Poop who was very angry with the neighbors for paring in his spaces.
One of the special effects was going to be Mr Dog Poop pulling a car from the parking lot through the security video feeds.
To do this, we needed an exact replica of one of the cars, so we picked an employee car that we could by in die cast and ordered it. But it took over a month to ship from China. It was great, flashing lights, horn, doors opened, wheels spun, perfect for the effect we wanted.
But the air had already left the balloon. We were on to new things and had come up with so many new ideas by that time, we did not go back to it. So the props go into a bin and never get used.
Now what?
Well, here they are in our prop inventory for other people to use. Loads of unused props from clothing to fake dog poop, we have it all in our studio in Tampa Florida.
We have posted a large list of our props online so that people can plan around props rather that writing ideas and making the mistakes we did. Having to shop for vintage props takes time, money and really kills the excitement of the video.
