Mr Fusion Prop from Back to The Future
Mr. Fusion converted household waste to power the time machine's flux capacitor and time circuits using nuclear fusion (it is thought that this is cold fusion), as well as allowing the DeLorean time machine to generate the required 1.21 gigawatts to travel through the space-time continuum. The energy produced by Mr. Fusion replaced plutonium as the primary power source of the DeLorean's time travel and flight capabilities.
This is a semi authentic replica of the original prop used in Back to The Future on the Delorian. It is an actual Krups 223 coffee maker attached to a 3D printed base. The original was built from a heavily modified Singer Aerospace Librascope cap, a hand-made lid and topped with the now well known Krups 223 Coffee Grinder.
Even with the 3D base it was expensive at around $500 for the parts.
It is amazing how expensive a cheap coffee grinder can get when it becomes a movie icon and is no longer in production. So buying one or building a completed Mr Fusion might be too costly as a quick prop in your ext video, but we have one on the shelf ready for you to use.
Originally slated for a conversion of the Massey Model 12 into a time machine, we used it in a couple videos, but never completed the Massey time machine project.
